KM House is a private villa located in Gümüşlük, Bodrum. The project consists of the extension and design of the living room, kitchen, entrance, bathroom, terrace, pool area and sauna. Taking the traditional Bodrum and Aegean architecture as its origin, the design consists of a simple material palette of white plaster, natural oak and various natural stones. The floor material - large porcelain slabs - are picked delicately to allow a seamless, soft background for the natural furniture to stand out.

The existing kitchen is extended by an integrated steel structure, creating also a wide canopy for the terrace. The canopy is closed using a bioclimatic pergola with adjustable aluminum panels. The system allows adjusting the amount of light entering through the canopy, providing maximum comfort. A sunroof is added to the kitchen extension, providing abundant light for the indoor areas. Likewise, a slim window was integrated on the TV wall to support lighting, while creating a beautiful frame for the pool water and the landscaping to be exhibited indoors.

To allow efficient usag of space, the indoor dining table is designed with a bench seating adjacent to the kitchen island. The kitchen cabinets surround the kitchen space as a U shape, creating a fully functional kitchen with abundant storage space. With a new landscaping, the terrace and pool area is surrounded by exuberant local plants creating a beautiful scenery. The KM House is a private oasis located right inside the captivating geography of Bodrum.
